Safety Reset Feature Explained
Why NORA Resets to 10A:
Every time NORA loses power (unplugged), it automatically resets to 10A mode for safety.
Example Scenario:
You charge at home on 32A, then unplug to visit family. If the setting stayed at 32A and you plugged into their standard 10A outlet, you’d overload the circuit—fire risk.
How to Change Settings:
- Plug NORA into desired outlet
- Open Raedian App
- Navigate to Set Current on main page
- Select 10A, 15A, or 32A based on outlet
- Confirm and start charging

Quick Reference Chart
| Adapter | Outlet Type | Max Power | Charge Time (50kWh) | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10A | Standard | 2.4kW | ~21 hours | Anywhere |
| 15A | Dedicated | 3.6kW | ~14 hours | Home/Away |
| 32A | 5-Pin | 7.4kW/11kW/22kW | ~8/3 hours | Fast |

32A Residential Installation
All EV charging sockets must be installed by a licensed electrician. A dedicated electrical circuit is strongly recommended, as EV charging places sustained load on cabling and improper installations can lead to overheating risks.
Installation costs and cable specifications depend on factors such as the distance from the switchboard and the required amperage.
If you are located in the Adelaide Metro area, we can arrange a competitive quote from qualified electricians we trust to deliver a safe, compliant, and reliable installation.
Please fill out the contact us form with some detail about your location and our electrician will be in touch to work out an onsite visit.
Adapter Maintenance & Safety
Keep connectors clean and dry
Inspect for damage before each use
Never force adapters into wrong outlets
Store in NORA carry bag when traveling
Replace if pins show wear or discoloration
Charging on the Road: Real-World Tips
Road Trips
Call ahead to caravan parks to confirm outlet types available.
Visiting Friends
Always start with 10A mode—it’s universally safe.
Hotels
Most have standard 10A outlets only. Expect slow overnight charging.
Workplaces
Check with facilities team about 15A or 32A outlet availability.
Changing Adapters
It is simple to change the adapters using the Quick Connect system. First, make sure the plug is unplugged from the wall socket to stop any risk of arc or shock. Push down on the chrome button on the Quick connect plug and pull apart. Push the required adapter plug and socket together until you hear a slight click, they will self align. Make sure it is locked in place with a firm pull apart.
Can I Hardwire NORA at Home?
Yes! NORA can be permanently installed using the 32A adapter via a licensed electrician.
Benefits:
- No need to change settings manually
- Fastest charging speeds
- Clean, professional installation
Note: Once hardwired, portability is lost (can be reversed by electrician).
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I buy extra adapters separately?
A: Yes, individual adapters are available if you lose one. Please contact us using the form with your request.
Q: What if I plug 32A into 10A outlet by mistake?
A: The plug is physically different and will not be mistaken. If the settings are set incorrectly, NORA’s safety features prevent overcurrent—but always match adapter to outlet rating.
Q: Will adapters work with NEO charger?
A: No, NEO is a hardwired unit only. Adapters are NORA-specific.
